ABPA ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
ABPA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
The Association has an Executive Committee which consists of a President,
Vice President, Immediate Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The
President and Vice President are elected by the membership for a two-year term,
with the Vice President ascending to the presidency after their term as Vice
President is completed. The Treasurer and Secretary serve on the Executive
Committee as non-voting members.
All positions are unpaid and operate according to the bylaws of the Association.
The Executive Committee has the responsibility to ensure that the policies
established by the Board of Directors for the conduct, management, and direction
of the business and affairs of the Association are carried out. The members of
the Executive Committee also serve on the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is charged with the power to
establish or modify the policies for the conduct, management and direction of
the business and affairs of the Association. The Board of Directors meets three
times a year to conduct Association business. General Board of Directors
meetings are open to visitors who can observe the proceedings and offer input,
but cannot vote. The North American Continent is divided into twelve Regions,
with each Region responsible for electing a Regional Director to serve on the
Board of Directors. The regions are divided as follows:

Region 2 Washington D.C., DE, MD, PA, VA, WV
Region 3 AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN
Region 4 AR, LA, OK, TX
Region 5 CO, NM, UT, WY
Region 6 AZ, CA, HI, NV
Region 7 AK, ID, MT, OR, WA
Region 8 AB, BC, MB, NT, NU, SK, YT (Canada)
Region 9 ON, PEI, PQ, NB, NL, NS (Canada)
Region 10 MN, ND, SD, WI
Region 11 IL, IN, KY, MI, OH

Each Regional Director (listed below) is responsible for representing
their Region on the Board of Directors. Each Regional Director is elected to a
two-year term by the members in their Region. The office of Regional Director is
an unpaid position.
Others that serve on the Board of Directors include the Immediate Past President
and Directors-at-Large. The Director-at-Large members can be appointed by the
Board of Directors to assist in the business of the Association. All board
members are unpaid positions and operate according to the Association bylaws.
