ABPA COMMITTEE INFORMATION
At the discretion of the Board of Directors or the Executive Committee,
committees can be established to perform specific or ongoing tasks. The
committees are headed by a chairperson who is appointed by the Executive
Committee and ratified by the Board of Directors. Any member in good standing
can apply to be on a committee by filling out a committee application. The
chairman of the committee will forward the petition to the full committee for
review. The standing committees are as follows:
Application for Committee Membership
The committees function as advisors to the Board of Directors. The committees
must follow their committee charge as established by the Board of Directors. The
committee actions are subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
An annual international conference is held each year at the end of April. The
location of the conference is chosen by the conference committee and approved by
the Board of Directors. Throughout the year, various seminars may be held in
different areas of the country by the Regions or by the local Chapters.
Within each Region, Chapters have been formed to provide a more localized
response to member needs. All Chapters must have Chapter bylaws which are
consistent with the Association bylaws, and all Chapter actions must be
consistent with National policies and guidelines.
